G3 Planer Set-up Swing Shift - Plummer, ID

This is a Swing Shift position - 2pm -12:30am Monday - Thursday


Description

Your Accountabilities:

  • Lead by example and hold employees accountable to follow safety policies and procedures. Identify hazards and communicate to employees and others. Work with supervisor to prioritize, plan and schedule completion of all items identified in quarterly safety audits in area.
  • Management of quality reports. Monitor manufacturing quality to ensure proper cutting practices. Monitor and understand the cause and effect of manufacturing defects from planer and sawmill. Monitor quality of product and make necessary adjustments immediately.
  • Possess thorough written and verbal communication skills, communicating effectively with feeder, graders, boiler/kilns and supervisors. Communicate clearly with maintenance concerning PM and project schedules, and with upstream and downstream customers on safety and quality concerns.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement by working through the process of benchmarking, goal setting, cause and effect/troubleshooting with employee involvement, including evaluation of the progress, process completion, and follow-up. Be involved in continuous improvement projects.

Your qualifications…
  • Possess mechanical aptitude, experience, and knowledge
  • Experience with Planer set up and alignment
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Possess experience and knowledge working with SapStain/Spraybox application.
  • Maintain an organized and clean working environment.
