I was wondering if anyone was using 30 to 50 psi to dry. I was talking to an engineer the other day and he thought a boiler making 100 to 150 psi and kilns running 30 to 40 psi was more energy efficient than 80 to 120 psi in both. Anyone have experiences with this ?
Thanks.

we have a 4 or 500 horsepower, 100 psi, wood-fired boiler. We have headers at each 'bank' of kilns that reduce the steam pressure to 30 psi. Works well for us. 17 kilns (million feet capacity).
