Anyone willing to share some secrets on drying PP random width 5/4 shop??

Has anyone tried high temperature drying with PP 5/4 shop???

Fran Wagoner at the University of Idaho did some testing on that a few years back in their little pizza oven kiln.  They had issues with stain at high temperature.

Have never dried it here.

Thanks for the reply Craig. They are getting ready to run some PP shop in the new Lewiston mill, and they were just asking for some help. I dried alot of shop when I worked at CFI in Kooskia, but they have a way different set up down there.

How are things going for you up North anyways??

Going well up here Francis, thanks for asking.

Earl Britt (retired from one of Frank Bennet's mills north of Moscow) dried a lot of shop, and experimented with high temperature as well.  Used to be chair of the Inland Empire Dry Kiln Association, but I don't have contact info for him.  Your nalco rep knows him, and could probably get the two of you in touch. . .
