Title: Equalizing fresh incense cedar stock
Post by: wayne cunliff on March 12, 2012, 09:07:27 AM
My question is do any of you try to equalize your stock in the kiln before you start drying, we put this ic 5/4 in the air dry yard in the summer months for a couple weeks then pull it thru the kiln and it looks great but during the winter months it goes straight to the kiln and i get over dry wood on the ends perfect lumber towards the middle and wet lumber in the middle. the kiln is a double track 90' multi zone controled kiln fed by a 15psi boiler.
