I have dried alot of Cedar 5/4x6 in my kilns. We have ran it as decking and all the way up to the premium grades. I use a very mellow schedule and dont rush it along to fast. I have almost always got great results at the planer, NO WETS, and ver little roller split ;D

I run it about 192hrs when it sits in the airdry yard for a week or two its a shorter time of course but it looks great going threw the planer but straight from the saw mill to the stick plant then kiln its really been a half and half kiln half wet half roller split real hard to get the mc equal threw out the kiln. any input

Man, we run all of our cedar straight from the mill into the kilns, we do not air dry it at all. Your schedule looks even more mellow than mine do. The cedar I am working with is western red cedar, maybe it is quite a bit differnet than what you are working with. Sorry I couldnt be more help to you.
