For over 25 years Joe Denig at North Carolina State University has worked with the lumber manufacturing industry providing education and training from the basic skills of a kiln operator to improving management decision-making. in lumber drying quality and productivity. He has concentrated on southern yellow pine and eastern hardwoods but also had the opportunity to work with mills drying a variety of species across four continents.
